Welbeck Village Open Weekend

Welbeck Village Open Weekend

Join us for a jolly good day out at Welbeck.

10am - 5pm

FREE ADMISSION

Visitors will be able to explore parts of Welbeck Village that are not usually open to the public and enjoy the splendid historic architecture built by the 5th Duke of Portland in the late 1800’s.

FOOD

Food from the award-winning producers on the Welbeck Estate will be available to try and buy at the Welbeck Farm Shop. Enjoy a pint of real ale from Welbeck Abbey Brewery and pick up a picnic to take away. The School of Artisan Food will be opening its doors for the weekend with tours, talks and demonstrations, and Welbeck Abbey Brewery will also be open and running scheduled tours of the brewery throughout the weekend.

ART

The Harley Studios will be open for the weekend as part of Open Studios Nottinghamshire. Visit the artists’ workspaces, watch demonstrations and chat with the makers. Designer Jason Taylor will also be demonstrating in the Harley Courtyard over the weekend, to accompany the opening of his exhibition Everyday Objects at The Harley Gallery.

FUN

The Village Green will host a number of the Estate’s sport and social clubs, including archery, bowls and sailing. You can also visit the Welbeck Club, just off the Village Green. On Sunday, the Welbeck Farm will be open to explore as part of LEAF’s Open Farm Sunday. Enjoy a fun tractor ride, meet the team and discover their wide range of activities on the Estate.

*Please note that Welbeck Abbey will NOT be open as part of the Welbeck Village Open Weekend. If you’re interested in visiting Welbeck Abbey, book onto the Portland Collection State Room Tours.
