Creswell Crags
Tucked away on the edge of the Welbeck Estate is Creswell Crags, a deep limestone ravine honey-combed with caves and rock shelters. Since 1875 a world-renowned collection of Ice Age artefacts has been uncovered, including Britain's earliest art engraved onto bone and the walls and ceiling of Church Hole cave. There’s a museum to visit and tours are frequently led into the caves. Or just go and explore!
