Harley Gallery Runners and Riders Exhibition Now Open

Runners and Riders: The Rise of Modern Horse Racing, the new treasury exhibition at the Harley Gallery is now open. The exhibition recounts how the Cavendish-Bentinck family at Welbeck developed horse racing to become the sport we know today, accompanied by works by leading equestrian painters. Exhibition talks featuring a wide array of well known speakers are scheduled to accompany this fabulous exhibition. Check the Harley Gallery website for further exhibition talk details.The Welbeck Abbey Brewery has joined in the equestrian fun and is producing special edition, horse themed ales throughout 2012. The special edition ales are available for purchase at the Welbeck Farm Shop.

Welbeck Tennis Club is preparing for the start of the new season at the end of April, and looks to welcome new members. Now in its 20th year, this friendly club can provide coaching and skills development, as well as offering competitive league tennis in both district and national leagues. Equally welcome are players who wish to join in at a social level, with weekly sessions taking place on a Monday evening. The club also has a regular junior section for age groups 6 to 17, offering tuition as well as playing every week.
