Filmed on the Welbeck Estate as well as other locations in Yorkshire, Oxford and London, Testament of Youth, a First World War drama starring Kit Harrington and Alicia Vikander, will premier at the 2014 BFI London Film Festival next month. Produced by Heyday Films and directed by James Kent, the film depicts Juliette Towhidi’s adapted screenplay of Vera Brittain's iconic and powerful First World War memoir, a searing story of love and war, first published in 1933.

The Community Bonfire Group has been running a free, annual bonfire in Cuckney village for over 25 years. This year's Community Bonfire is scheduled for Saturday the 1st of November at 6pm in Cuckney Village.

Welbeck Abbey Brewery is brewing two new ales, Golden-ringed Dragonfly a golden ale and Death's-head Hawk-moth a stout for From The Notebook Limited, a company whose aim is to support and celebrate British wildlife. Various British wildlife conservation groups receive royalties from the sales of the wildlife themed ales. Bottles of the Welbeck Abbey Brewery - From The Notebook real ales are available in the Welbeck Farm Shop.
