Mark Brown is one of the longest serving employees at Welbeck Farm Shop, having worked on the butchery counter since the shop opened in October 2006. What is a typical day like for you?

My working day starts at 6am, which includes setting up the counters and customer communications.  I'll finish around 5 pm, then cycle home to my family.


What do you like to do on your days off?

I love to ride my bike and socialising with my friends is very important to me. 


If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A full English breakfast.


What are your three favourite songs?



I'm happiest when:

I'm pedaling through the woods on my bike and the sun is shining. 


Any favourite line from a movie?

If you could switch your job with anyone at Welbeck, whose job would you want? 

No one, I love the job I do, I've done it for 28 years. 


People would be surprised if they knew: 

That I'm not married but have been engaged for nearly 25 years.  


What fictional place would you most like to go?



What's your favourite thing made at Welbeck?

I love the Raw Milk we sell. I drink at least a bottle every day.


What's your favourite song for a sunny day? 


If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?

Definitely eating. I'm confident enough to say I'd win gold every time. 


Among your friends and family, what are you famous for?

Being a clown.
