The very first ‘Celebrating our Neighbourhood Festival’ begins this Saturday the 20th of June and runs until the 5th of July. Spanning across the villages of Cuckney, Norton, Holbeck and Welbeck, the festival offers a varied and exciting programme of events for all ages.

Estate records show that ale has been produced at Welbeck for centuries and enjoyed by the family and staff alike. In the 18th century the estate’s brewhouse produced eight hogsheads (4048 pints) of beer at a time. Following on in this timeless tradition and now in its fifth year of operation, Welbeck Abbey Brewery produces over 18,000 pints of hand-crafted beer a week, using only four quality ingredients – malted Maris Otter barley, whole-flower hops from across the world, the estate’s own natural spring water and a unique variety of nurtured yeast.
