The Rural Network East Midlands will be holding the ‘Pastures New – Make sense of how Rural features within the new political landscape' conference at Carriage court on Thursday 22 March 2012. The conference will will give delegates the opportunity to hear first-hand how the coalition government’s new policies and initiatives provide opportunities and challenges for rural communities, and how the Rural Network East Midlands intends to support future rural growth.

New treasury exhibition, Runners and Riders: The Rise of Modern Horse Racing, will be opening at the Harley Gallery on Saturday 5 May 2012. The exhibition will recount how the Cavendish-Bentinck family at Welbeck developed horse racing to become the sport we know today, accompanied by works by leading equestrian painters.
