Head Gamekeeper, Reg Betts, retires after 33 years' service

Born and raised in the nearby village of Whitwell, Reg started as a trainee gamekeeper, working for Donald Perkins at Welbeck. He then worked for several notable country estates including Buckminster and Chatsworth.

Spotlight shines a light on our community: go behind the scenes, get to know us a bit better and discover the lives and work of some of Welbeck’s employees and tenants. Mark Brown is one of the longest serving employees at Welbeck Farm Shop, having worked on the butchery counter since the shop opened in October 2006. During his years of service Mark and the butchery team have won numerous awards for their expert skills.
