Author and presenter joins The School of Artisan Food

TV’s River Cottage ambassador, Steven Lamb, has joined the team of tutors at The School of Artisan Food.

The presenter, culinary consultant and award-winning author will be showing this year’s Nottingham Trent University students the ropes as they progress through their first-year dairy module at The School of Artisan Food. Steven will also be leading short dairy courses at the School.

Steven is an internationally renowned expert in cheese and dairy as well as curing and smoking. His food career began almost two decades ago as part of Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage operation. He appeared on the popular TV series, was instrumental in establishing the cookery school and has written books including River Cottage: Curing & Smoking and River Cottage: Cheese & Dairy.

Speaking about his new role, Steven said: "I’m delighted to be joining the Tutor Team at The School of Artisan Food. Their ethos and dedication to quality artisan produce and methods really is outstanding. It will be a great pleasure to teach in such an esteemed environment along with some of the best in the business.”

Simon Pittman, Sales and Marketing Director at The School of Artisan Food, said: “We are thrilled Steven has joined us and will be sharing his immense expertise and knowledge with our students. Steven is well known for his extensive knowledge and talent and for mentoring professionals at some of the world’s leading restaurants and has so much to offer our students.”

The news comes as the School welcomes this year’s students who will be studying for the Artisan Food Production Degree and the Advanced Diploma in Artisan Baking.
