How to celebrate Valentine's Day at home
06 February 2021
Thought about how you’ll be spending Valentine’s Day this year? While this year it’s not going to be about booking a table in the best restaurant, that’s not to say you won’t be able to enjoy a romantic dinner for two.
If you’re not sure though what to dish up for your stay-at-home celebration, then look no further. Welbeck Farm Shop has collaborated with The Harley Café to bring together all the ingredients for the perfect meal with a special Valentine’s meal selection.
A new dine at home meal to prepare and serve up at home has been launched especially for this romantic weekend. It has been developed by Ricky Stephenson, head chef at The Harley Café and includes a choice of:
- Beef Wellington for two – seared prime fillet steak, wrapped with mushroom duxelles and bresaola in a puff pastry (available to pre-order only)
- Pork Valentine Steak for two – a heart-shaped butterflied pork steak, topped with roasted pepper, tomato salsa and Caerphilly cheese
- Stuffed mushrooms for two – mushrooms stuffed with Ticklemore goats cheese, a vegetarian cheese made with a light, lemony flavour, and topped with herb breadcrumbs.
All the items can be cooked at the same temperature for simplicity. “We’ve made it as simple as we can to help people dish up a delicious Valentine’s meal in their own home,” explained Ricky. “We’ve created a special selection using only the freshest and best ingredients to ensure it’s a meal full of flavour.”
To accompany the dishes, there's a choice of side dishes, a Welbeck Farm Shop special cheeseboard selection and for those with a sweet tooth, there’s a range of delectable desserts. The menu is also accompanied by Welbeck Abbey Brewery ales and a select choice of wines.
- The Valentine’s Menu is available instore at Welbeck Farm Shop between 12th and 14th February 2021 (limited availability). Last pre-order date is 11th February. For more details or to place an order, head to the Welbeck Farm Shop website.
