Welbeck Bakehouse shortlisted in the Great Food Club Awards

We are delighted to announce Welbeck Bakehouse has been shortlisted for the 2024 Great Food Club Awards.

The Great Food Club Awards celebrate the best food and drink independents in the East Midlands.

The Welbeck Bakehouse is an award-winning wholesale bakery within our picturesque Estate, next door to The School of Artisan Food. Founded in 2008 by baking enthusiast Alison Swan-Parente, The Welbeck Bakehouse built its foundations on a desire to create and promote ‘Real Bread’. 

More than a decade on, the bakery is renowned for its specialism in Sourdough and Viennoiserie. It has played a key part in the growth of the estate’s artisan community,  and supplies a vast array of hand-crafted products to independent businesses throughout the East Midlands.

 

We caught up with Mark Garry, General Manager at Welbeck Bakehouse:

We are delighted to be nominated as a finalist for Bakery of the Year in the Great Food Club. My teams and I pride ourselves on the quality of our bread, and it is great to be recognised for this.

The whole team work so hard during late evenings and early hours to hand produce, bake, and deliver great bread all across the Midlands.

 

We wish the team the best of luck and are keeping our fingers crossed for when the results are announced on 1st October 2024.
