Cuckney House opened in 2023 after a restoration project turned the disused Georgian Manor into a luxury award-winning wedding venue and self-catering accommodation. Interior Designer Rachel McLane sympathetically designed each room within the property, creating a classic, timeless style with original architectural features.
Ross Owen, Hospitality Manager, said:
"I am incredibly proud of the Welbeck team for the achievements of our Hospitality portfolio. Cuckney House won Best New Tourism Business of the Year, and Holbeck Farm Barns achieved a bronze award for Best Self-Catering Accommodation of the Year.
This is not only an achievement of the hospitality team but of the Welbeck Estate, it shows the achievements in the collaboration of many departments and individuals, from the foresight of the initial concept to our planning and design team, our internal building team overseeing the refurbishment of Cuckney House and the rest of the portfolio, our marketing and sales team, and our team on the ground preparing the properties. We, as an estate, are delighted with the results."
The Nottinghamshire Tourism Awards honour the remarkable achievements that have contributed to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire's vibrant and growing visitor economy, and the team here on the Welbeck Estate are beyond excited to have been crowned winners at the 2025 awards ceremony.Â
Alongside the Best New Tourism Business of the Year Award, our self-catering accommodation Holbeck Farm Barns, scooped the Bronze Award for Best Self-Catering Accommodation.
