Set within 15,000 acres, the estate offers up a beautiful 18th century landscaped park, with secluded ancient woodlands, parkland with scenic lakes, a Victorian Village with original features, including a 19th century stable block.
The impressive architecture of Welbeck Abbey with the incredible decorated State Rooms, dating back to the 17th century create a fantastic setting for classic period dramas to documentaries and feature films.
Welbeck has provided the backdrop for numerous documentaries, TV programmes and films, thanks to its stunning architecture and open spaces. But if you don’t recognise it, you could be forgiven as Welbeck today is very much a private estate and is secluded and peaceful (which also means few interruptions for filming).
We may only be 15 minutes from the M1 and 20 minutes from the A1, but the estate is self-contained and quiet. Access to large swathes of the Welbeck Estate is limited to the small number of people who live or work here.
As for space, that’s something we’re not short of! There are plenty of areas for parking, stables, production offices and storage.
Welbeck Abbey is a 17th century privately owned house with grand interiors, an underground ballroom, a chapel, and a network of underground tunnels.
This extensive quadrangle of 3,600 square metres grand stable block has much space and character, with original stables, ornate fixings and cobblestones.
Welbeck is home to two Church of England Churches; St Mary's Church at Cuckney and St Winifred's Church at Holbeck.
A collection of the country’s most important rural heritage buildings. It still looks as it did in the 19th century, complete with a stunning cobbled stable courtyard and village green.
Cuckney House is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house set in secluded woodland with manicured grounds.
The underground ballroom in Welbeck Abbey is a vast 154 feet by 64 feet, entirely sunk below ground and top-lit by skylights.
A secret network of Victorian tunnels sits beneath Welbeck.
From disused barns to functioning farmhouses, we have a collection of properties for all uses.
Our extensive parkland reaches 15,000 acres with woodland, lakes, farmland and gorges.
