Dog Code of Conduct

Dog Code of Conduct

We enjoy meeting the different needs of all our guests by offering a selection of dog-free and dog-friendly self-catering accommodations.

Guests must let us know they are bringing their dog at the time of placing a booking. There is a small charge per dog. When booking, guests are required to accept our Terms & Conditions and Dog Code of Conduct so we can keep our cottages in excellent condition for all guests.

Our Dog Code of Conduct is as follows:

  • Dogs are welcome in our dog-friendly holiday cottages only.
  • Dogs must be booked and paid for in advance. Any dogs arriving without prior arrangement must be accommodated elsewhere at your own cost.
  • Any damage to the property caused by dogs, including furniture, carpets, bed linen, etc., will incur a replacement charge or cleaning fee.
  • We regret that dogs known to bark excessively are not permitted.
  • Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in any cottage unless they are happy to rest in their own cage brought from home and are unlikely to bark and disturb other guests.
  • Please wash off muddy paws before entering the property with your dog. Guest towels should not be used on dogs.
  • Please clean up after your dog, including whilst in the cottage garden and surrounding fields. Dog waste must be binned using appropriate bags.
  • If you are part of a group booking, your dog must be kept in the dog-friendly cottage it was booked into. If you wish your dog to go in and out of other dog-friendly cottages included in your booking, the pet fee must be paid for those cottages. This will mean ensuring the other cottages in your booking are also dog-friendly.
  • Please only walk your dog on the public footpaths. Maps are available in your cottage. Dogs must be kept on a lead when walking to protect our crops, wildlife, and livestock. Please obey the Countryside Code. Always keep your dog under close control for its safety and the comfort of others.
  • Upon departure, please leave the cottage as clean and tidy as possible. If excessive cleaning is required following your departure, an additional cleaning fee will be incurred.
  • Please do not allow your dogs to intrude on neighbouring properties.
  • We are delighted to provide a complimentary doggy hamper on arrival, including a blanket, bowl, and disposable bags.
