Cuckney House can accommodate up to 40 overnight guests over 15 bedrooms.
If you need more rooms for your guests we have an additional 9 self-catering holiday cottages on the estate.Â
Cuckney House is an exclusive use venue run by a small team who are dedicated to ensuring every guest feels welcome, respected and at ease to create wonderful memories here.
We invite all couples, including same-sex unions and from all faiths, to celebrate their love.
The gardens and ground floor are accessible for wheelchairs; however, it is important to note that there are several levels with small steps and uneven surfaces such as gravel, grass, and flagstone. A toilet is available on this level.
To ensure seamless access to ceremony spaces, we kindly request that you inform us in advance if any guests require disabled facilities. This will allow us to make the necessary arrangements for their convenience.
Complimentary parking is available at the property, accommodating approximately 35 vehicles.
Guests not residing on-site are welcome to park their cars overnight; however, we kindly request that these vehicles be collected by 10:00 am the following morning.

Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed at Cuckney House.Â
We have four licensed areas for civil ceremonies and partnerships: the panelled ballroom, the dining room, the Edwardian Pavilion, and the Kitchen Garden.
Our venue is licensed by the Nottinghamshire County Council to host weddings. However, please note that our venue hire fee does not cover the cost of your marriage licence. You will need to arrange this directly with Nottinghamshire County Council. Â
Yes, Welbeck is home to two churches:Â
St Mary's Church at Norton and Cuckney and St Winifred's Church at Holbeck.
We can recommend local professional celebrants. However, celebrant-led wedding ceremonies are not legally binding. You will still need to complete the legal formalities through Nottinghamshire Registrar or your place of worship. The benefit is that a celebrant can add personality and flexibility to your ceremony without legal restrictions.
To provide you with the highest quality experience, we kindly request that you utilise one of our nominated suppliers for formal dining services. For more informal catering options, such as food trucks, hog roasts, and pizza ovens, we will be available to offer our recommendations; however, you are welcome to select a supplier of your preference.
Yes, the bar area is located on the ground level of Cuckney House. This is a self-service bar. Options to have this stocked before arrival are available. Speak to a member of our team to arrange this.Â

Cuckney House is near a quiet village. We do not allow fireworks and lanterns out of respect for our neighbours.Â
Candles are not allowed for decoration, but electric lights that mimic the appearance of candles can be used as an alternative.

The largest of our barn conversions, Mrs Butterwick, has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lounge, and a snug with a large farmhouse kitchen, including original feeding troughs. This self-catering cottage sleeps up to eight guests.
It includes a large garden and a hot tub, and it offers uninterrupted views of rolling fields and woodland.Â
