Walks at Welbeck

Whatever the time of year, there is always something to discover at Welbeck, whether you’re visiting for a few hours or staying for a week.

Nestled in the heart of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, Welbeck extends to some 15,000 acres, straddling the borders of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Surrounded by rolling countryside, the Welbeck estate is the perfect location to take a leisurely stroll through majestic ancient woods, pre-historic gorges, wild parklands or tranquil tree-lined avenues.

Dogs are welcome on the public rights of way across Welbeck so long as they are kept either on a lead or under close control. We ask this as there is a significant amount of wildlife on the estate, and we wish for them to remain as undisturbed as possible.

When planning your day, be sure to visit The Courtyard at Welbeck for modern art in The Harley Gallery and Welbeck's historic art collection in the award-winning Portland Collection, alongside the multi-award-winning Welbeck Farm Shop and The Harley Café, plus there’s a garden centre just next door.

Please note that the telephone signal in The Courtyard can be hit and miss! If you plan to use a map on your device please download it before you visit.
