Located in Holbeck, North Nottinghamshire, Phaleron is one of six self-catering cottages within our Holbeck Farm Barns complex on the edge of the Welbeck Estate.

This quaint two-bedroom, one-storey barn conversion has a certain charm and style. Step inside, and you'll find an open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge complete with comfy seating and a large television. Outside is a pretty patio and seating overlooking the courtyard.

Hired this lovely cottage for our family for a wedding. The setting lived up to its 5 stars as did the staff. Very clean, resourced and comfortable. Another fabulous long weekend at the barns at Welbeck! I can honestly say that Welbeck is my happy place and our first — and most ideal — choice whenever we want a relaxing getaway. Over the years we’ve stayed several times at The Winnings, as well as at two other barns, including La Roche, and every visit has been consistently wonderful. Beautifully appointed and comfortable property with large enclosed garden in quiet location. The only gripe was an absence of a hand rail on the decking leading to the garden. We stayed during cold wet winter weather and the stair decking was slippery. Also we stayed with our dog and it would have been nice for the dog to be allowed access to indoor areas of the Welbeck Estate (eg cafe, museum, art gallery). Other than that a very pleasant sojourn and looking forward to returning in the warmer months!
